While most artists would be content to take a break from producing after a seven stop US tour, that’s not the case for Spain’s Pig&Dan. The duo's four-track The Earth EP is dropping tomorrow, March 9, on their own imprint ELEVATE. While Pig&Dan frequently release on their label, they also take the time to nurture new talent on ELEVATE. With their first release of the year they welcome Shall Ocin, with a debut remix of the title track “The Earth.”
Pig&Dan set the tone of “Take Me” with a strong beat and a crisp, syncopated, galloping percussion. Soon enough though, a more electro-sounding synth comes in to set an undeniable groove. Halfway through the track an ethereal, acid inspired breakdown re-centers "Take Me" before pounding it home, really capturing what Pig&Dan would call a “peak time techno bomb.”
