With his debut SXSW appearances on the horizon, Benji Lewis emerges from down under with his first single of 2018. Premiering today with EARMILK, ”DEEP BLUE" is a contemplative love song about "letting yourself connect and feel everything, on a deeper level,” says Lewis. The singer-songwriter croons over minimalist production as he spins a narrative of hopeful love, "I do believe we all want real love, a special connection. It is out there." Lewis sings with unmistakable sincerity as he ruminates about the "DEEP BLUE" of emotion, poignant notes cascading over a subtle trap-influenced beat.

Lewis is based in Melbourne, Australia, and first gained worldwide attention after garnering over 10 million streams on Spotify alone with his captivating 2017 single "Drift." As a teenager, Lewis was "drawn to the emotion and beauty in acoustic music," and he strives to bring these soulful qualities to the electronic music of today. Benji’s buttery vocals and uniquely serene take on electronic-pop are a welcome breath of fresh air in today’s formulaic dance landscape. I look forward to seeing more of the name Benji Lewis here in the states as this unique talent’s career continues to blossom. His forthcoming EP Together Apart is due this year.

US Tour Dates:
3/14 – The Side Bar – Austin, TX (unofficial SXSW event)
3/15 – St David's Historic Sanctuary – Austin, TX (official SXSW showcase)
3/28 – The Peppermint Club – Hollywood, CA (with Robokid & Phil Good)
