Sitting somewhere in between Bon Iver and James Blake is Gundelach, a Norwegian alt-pop artist with a stunning falsetto and lush, beautifully layered electronics.
Pairing bright synth with an incredibly poignant lyric, Kai Gundelach's latest single "Control" is a tiny gem of a track. The song deals with ever-relevant themes of depression and anxiety. The constant cry of "you don't know how it feels to be alone" seems to come from deep in his soul. Speaking further on the track, Kai says: “It sounds like a love song but it’s actually about my relationship with depression and I wrote it about a really dark point in my life." "Control" is off Gundelach's debut LP BALTUS, which is set for a mid-March release.
