While GTA's 'Death to Genres (Vol. 3)' might not deliver as advertised, it's still a notable house release

GTA is a name that has evolved in its associations throughout the duo's career. First diving in head first into electro house, they've now moved on to pushing a "genreless" sound, with a big collaborative push being through their Death To Genres EP series that they launched in 2015.

For the series' third installment and GTA's first release in 2018, they've employed some big time artists to team up with on four new tracks. The first is the first work from Aussie Anna Lunoe we've seen this year, and according to her, it's been in the works for some time now. It's also a collaboration with Dillon Francis and Wax Motif, and "I Can't Hold On" is a classic house track that will surely see its way into festival sets this season. The next track, "Money," is the closest thing we could see resembling "genreless," as it is technically alongside Zac from the band FIDLAR.

"Step It Up" with Baauer, Big Mack, and TT The Artist, is as hard hitting as you'd expect, and "DunDun" with Damien N-Drix is the EP's other stand out track, with irresistible gritty grooves. The EP is out now via Mad Decent and streaming above.
