In this week's bundle of irresistible pop music, Scandinavian artist Skott (whose EP garnered her attention from both NYLON and Pigeons and Planes) unveils the video for her airborne single "Stay Off My Mind".
Although the song itself is bright and engaging, an electronic-infused banger with serious 80's influences, the lyrics are haunting and deeply personal. “Ultimately it’s a song about missing someone so much that you're living more in the past than in the present. It's bittersweet because we can have such fond memories, but life goes on and sometimes having flashbacks can keep you from moving on,” explains Skott.
The video is as intriguing as the singer herself. It's down-and-dirty high fashion, at once casual and free and impeccably polished. Mirroring her vocal, this video seeps into your skin.
