Chris Malinchak and Kiesza debut a "Mother" collaboration [Video]

Starting off the year with dynamite joint effort, New York based producer Chris Malinchak and Canadian artist Kiesza have a new track together called “Mother.” At first listen, the sound of “Mother” seems a departure for both. With a more chilled out and stripped down approach, the track takes on a dark and mysterious atmosphere. It's definitely a contrast for those basking in the romance of Malinchak's “So Good To Me” days, but there's still that same refreshing and sleek production style that we've come to expect.

Kiesza delivers a beautifully eerie vocal performance with “Mother.' Her voice gets perfectly woven into the crisp and effervescent production, adding to the overall delicate yet sensual feel of the track. In the past, Kiesza has brought some powerhouse performances between her last solo album, Sound Of A Woman, and also in past collaborations with artists like Gorgon City, Jack Ü, and Bakermat. “Mother” shows a more controlled and introspective side of Kiesza. It will be interesting to see if this style will carry over to her tracks yet to come later in the year.

The video for “Mother” continues with the elusive vibes at hand. Featuring bodybuilder Kai Greene along with Kiesza, the two give visual life to the musical turmoil brewing behind “Mother.” Enjoy the video above and find the audio at all the usual digital retailers.
