Elohim has released her new song "Fuck Your Money" and it's one dirty trip, as she offers the listener drugs in the first line and calls her self "lucky" because she has love instead of money. This electro-pop gem is but a small taste of what will be her debut album, slated for a 2018 release through BMG. And "Fuck Your Money" just sparkles through topics that would otherwise be questionable, with twinkly synths and a poppy beat to underscore her brightly lit vocals.
On the inspiration behind the song Elohim said, “I grew up with very little money. my parents put all of their focus on our well-being; learning the joy of music, feeding us organic food, and living a life full of LOVE. We didn’t have the fancy cars, the nice houses or expensive possessions. When my mom could feel my sadness as I discovered we were 'different' from other families, she’d remind me, 'we are rich with love.' I didn't fully grasp the incredible importance of those words until recently. Love has become my main focus in life and I now know how priceless it truly is."
In addition to her upcoming debut album, Elohim is also kicking off a headlining tour in March, with a string of major festival dates including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Buku Music + Art Project. Tickets to these dates and more can be purchased here.
