Today marks an interesting release – a two in one video from the self-proclaimed Rap King of Switzerland who goes by the moniker EffE. The songs in question are the dance floor filling jam titled "Universum" (featuring Pronto) and "Benzin" . The rapper fuses rap, dancehall elements with some afro-wave type sounds on these songs marking a switch from what you may expect from a hiphop act. Verbally he makes extensive use of the autotune feature similar to Future et al and adds his own unique Swiss swagger into the mix. These songs were produced by Chekaa & Palman who provide EffE with the necessary sonic power to display his unique weird vibes, humour filled raps. From the jump you would have realized that he is not about the super lyrical miracle bars, he is here to have fun and that's it.
The visuals directed by SDH has a celebratory/joyous vibe with a lot of choreography for the first half and switches to a more relaxed vibe on the second half of the video. " Universum/BENZIN" is from his latest Album KPTN Hook, Vol. 2 which is chockfull of dancehall & trap beats.
