Rapper/singer/producer Nanu Alidina goes the laid back route on his new single titled "When I'm Gone." Taking time from behind the boards, Nanu taps producer IISaints to build a bouncy, sprinkling piano chord-driven canvas for him to paint his story all over. The artist strays from his more grimy, bass-heavy bangers and takes the melodic approach on the song, which dwells on him taking steps to the peak and leaving his mark on the game. The track often switches between mild auto-tuned singing and rapping, which offers the listener a varied chilled vibe that, in my humble opinion, works well.
In a nutshell, the Toronto-based act puts his foot on the ground with this bold statement in the song "..lower me into the dirt cause the only way I'm going down.. is down into history…" "When I'm Gone" is a preview into what Nanu Alidina has in store for his fans, and he is currently working on his yet to be titled EP which will be released later in the year.
