23-year-old singer/songwriter/producer Para Doc (a.k.a. Wesley Luttrell) hails from Indiana, but currently crafts his hopeful, inspirational tunes under the California sunshine. Premiering with EARMILK, the single "Saying Things" is drenched in a vintage West Coast glow, with head-bopping synths and an easygoing tempo here to calm your seasonal affective disorder. However a deeper subject matter exists just beneath the surface, as indicated by some of Luttrell's pointedly honest lyrics — "you can say these things, but are you here to stay?" The word flow and title of "Saying Things" indicate a back-and-forth conversation wrought with frustration and misunderstanding. In the words of the artist himself, "to me, this record is about empty promises made with myself."
The summer of 2016 saw Para Doc evolve from Orlando college kid to tastemaking artist in demand, as his first single "Tuesday Feels" hit 11 on the Spotify Global Viral Charts. Relocation to Los Angeles allowed the young talent to spread his wings and develop his vision, with a growing roster of collaborations and original tracks on the pipeline for 2018 and beyond.
