Wyvern Lingo tease debut LP with "Maybe It's My Nature"

The girls of Wyvern Lingo have done it again. With the release of their latest single "Maybe It's My Nature", the genre-crossing trio from Wicklow tease their debut album, which is set to drop February 23rd. Of the track, vocalist Karen Cowley says:

'Maybe It’s My Nature' is about having a wandering eye, and the feelings of guilt that come with that. The song addresses three different people: a partner, a dead poet, and myself. I find that female characters in a lot of popular media still seem to lack sexual agency or fall into age old stereotypes. I wrote this song at a time when I was particularly fed up of hearing and seeing the same depictions that don’t resonate with how I feel.

The melody and Cowley's downright intoxicating vocal reflect that taboo side of lustfulness, and although wicked harmony is the usual hallmark of the group, Saoirse Duane's subdued guitar has given the band's most recent release an absolutely stunning depth and left us in great anticipation of their record.
