Soul-influenced pop artist M’Lynn kicks off 2018 with the release of her debut project entitled EP Grounding.
The talented singer's style fuses jazz, r&b and soul elements into her pop-driven music. Sticking to the traditional use of live instrumentation on every song, she brings that raw, unfiltered passion into her music. As a frequent live performer, M’Lynn’s frequent gigs around Dallas scored her an introduction with Dallas based Producers, Josh Goode and Bradly Prakope and the trio flew out to LA last year to work on and finish her EP.
The 5 track EP might be short but it's quite dense. From the lovelorn "Gave my love away" to the nostalgia-inducing title track. M’Lynn provides a semi snapshot of a period of her life on "Lost generation" and also uplifts the listener on "Just Take Time". She easily carries each song with her impeccable vocal performance, delivering emotionally powerful melodies coupled with her excellent songwriting abilities. We can particularly say you would find something to gravitate to on this EP and it really makes for a good laid back listening experience.
M’Lynn is currently in her freshman year studying music business at the University of Miami’s Frost school of music. We reckon the Grounding EP is more than enough to keep her fans satisfied till her next offering.
