Floridian rap has been showing it can keep up with other states that are considered the capital of the current rap scene. With artists such as Denzel Curry, Pouya & Yung Simmie leading the charge, Florida's rap scene has been getting it's well deserved plaudits and has been going from strength to strength. One artist who's been building up a following for a few years now is Kent Loon, part of the Nu Age Syndicate. With a host of strong releases under his belt already, the young St Petersburg resident has just dropped his debut album, and it's worth the wait.
Sitting at twelve tracks deep, Kent has meticulously put together an album that not only shows his tight flow, but also his ability to lyrically switch it up. Fellow Nu Age member Chester Watson makes a whole host of appearances across the album, with guest verses and some slick production bolstering Kent's project and complimenting his close friend nicely. Kent has found his vibe with this album, and with it's release, another Floridian rap star is born.
You can stream his album above, and if you're liking what you're hearing you can buy it over on his Bandcamp!
