What a pleasure it has been to watch these guys grow over the years. Back in 2015 when I was producing a Top 50 electronic podcast, I discovered Bali Bandits and immediately fell in love with their sound. It was a crunchy, wonky style of electro house, but under a melodic umbrella; a sound I had never heard before. They ended up dropping a guest mix on the show, which proved to be one of our most popular episodes ever. Fast forward to 2017, when Bali Bandits' music is being played by virtually every mainstage act across the international festival circuit. They caught the attention of Don Diablo, who signed their track "Toink" to his red-hot Hexagon imprint. Zedd, of course, had been rinsing the tune in his live sets, eventually commissioning the Dutch duo for official remix duties of "Starving," the Billboard Top 40 hit with Grey and Hailee Steinfeld.
Today Bali Bandits released their remix of "Glue," a standout track off Breathe Carolina's latest EP Coma on Spinnin Records. With its quirky sound design and perfectly layered house drop, it's signature Bali Bandits. Stream the track above and get familiar with the guys at the links below.
