The duo of Abs01ute & Shyste are on a mission to spread their brand of hard hitting, grimy hiphop music with the release of their new single "Anthrax". With Abs01ute manning the boards and crafting the perfect soundscape for Shyste's off the cuff lyrics and unique flow, what we get is a tour de force that is straightforward and complex at the same time.
"…Get it while the getting is good and get it locked in/ There is no other option to the hotness we be dropping..." Shyste quips over the obscure, sombre vocal infused backdrop provided by his producing partner in crime Abs01ute.
"Anthrax" shows us a glimpse of what to expect from the duo's upcoming project titled 'Lord of the Flies '. The project aims to bridge the gap between the 90s boom bap and the modern times without losing the listener's attention. Clocking in at 17 tracks, it draws inspiration from the 1954 novel by Nobel Prize-winning author William Golding, with sampling from the 1963 film of the same name. The album is slated for a December 1st release and "Anthrax" is one of the first singles off it.
