Ugly Heroes member Verbal Kent teams up with producer Superior for a hard-hitting, unfiltered cut titled "Classic Sh#t" . The song displays Verbal Kent's usual off the cuff lyricism comprised of humor, introspection, and then some. He says '…chasing everything that didn't matter, upside down climbing ladders, I was trapped inside patterns..." With a hint of regret but always looking ahead, Verbal Kent keeps his eyes on the inevitable goal.
Superior's production on "Classic Sh#t" has that raw, gritty feel to it. Using rock guitar samples over neck snapping drums, he crafts a dark, cinematic canvas that matches Verbal Kent's incisive lyrics. The track is taken from the full-length Kent & Superior album Half My Life (which will be released on 12/1 via Below System Records) and features collabos with Vic Spenser, Recognize Ali, Lance Ambu and Sonnyjim. The duo recently performed together at Hip Hop Kemp, one of the largest festivals in Europe, and plan to do more work together shortly.
