Lewis Tapiwa Manyenya, aka EyeAmi, hails from Harare, Zimbabwe. Currently based in Toronto, Canada, the twenty-five year old rapper also boasts a large creative resume: a rich background in fine arts, 3D animation, and video game design, as well as IMDb credits for 2016 Hollywood feature films including Passengers, Underworld, and X-Men: Apocalypse. As a musician, his style is as eclectic as can be, fusing African instruments and melodies with the influence of his new home in Canada. He self-defines hi sound as "Afrobounce," inspired by OutKast, Kendrick Lamar and Bill Viola.
On "Drunken Master," EyeAmi's aggressive delivery and pen game are thrust into the spotlight. Produced by NATI, the rhythms reverberate across the track while EyeAmi's focused flow drives the song forward. Apart from a strong delivery, EyeAmi brings a host of inflections to his bars, giving this two-minute vocal acrobatics routine some potent personality. Despite being a flex of his writing ability, "Drunken Master" gives listeners a full picture of EyeAmi's ability and gripping artistic presence.
