Australian duo Flight Facilities are no strangers to steamy disco-tinged glory, and their newest track “Stranded” certainly brings the heat. Joining forces together with Broods, Reggie Watts, and Saro for this massive collaboration, it’s amazing how sonically contained the track ended up. Also appearing on the track for instrumentation is Stella Maozgawa of Warpaint on drums, Piers Lane on piano, and Touch Sensitive stops by for bass. What a line-up.
Starting off with quite distant and calm with feminine Broods vocals against piano melodies, the track builds up to the climax of strings, drums, and Reggie Watts falsetto. Woven together beautifully with simple melodies and an underlying bass groove, “Stranded” leaves little room for complaint.
