DJ Chillz's momentum is not slowing down for gas as she has geared up for another late year urban banger in between her busy DJ schedules around London town. Her latest effort, "We Were Free" is a beautiful blend of house , tech and afro elements laced with her signature minimalistic approach. She also brings in rapper/songwriter Cazzy who adds that extra feminine flavour to the uber groovy track.

The genuine chemistry between the 2 ladies is evident as Cazzy knows how to stay in pocket delivering a straight forward in your face flow over DJ Chillz's upbeat backdrop. Going beyond just crafting a banger, Cazzy's takes on the subject matter of  love gone awry with an hopeful outlook. DJ Chillz explains, “I’ve still incorporated elements of African rhythm with the foundation of House, but this time there is a story of lost love.”

Chillz is a fully switched on DJ and producer with a plan, which is quickly coming to fruition as she purposefully brings a fresh twist to everything she plays whether it’s on her radio show ‘The Music Without A Pause’ on Shoreditch Radio, her ‘Afrobeats’ podcast for Radar Radio or her live sets which unify crowds into near states of nirvana. Regularly playing out at festivals like Wireless, Outlook and Boom Bap, through to streetwear fashion events like New Balance X Heidi Klum, Chillz also has residencies across London at Bootylicious and her own Weekly Friday event Riddim Nights in Croydon.

She is currently working on her debut EP and you can also check out our Q+A with her HERE
