Just a couple months after COLOURS 2, a surprise four-track EP, PARTYNEXTDOOR is back…with another surprise EP. Called Seven Days, this new EP has seven new tracks and features select, high-profile appearances from Rick Ross and Halsey.
PARTY has been on a creative tear this year. Not only has he released these two EPs, but he's also randomly dropped a number of freebies and lost cuts on his SoundCloud. He’s also done collaborations with the likes of Calvin Harris, DJ Khaled, Zayn, and more. Maybe the randomness of all these releases is the strategy exactly, as independent and major label artists alike have begun to fully embrace non-promoted releases over the last few years. When you think about it, making your name is the difficult part amid the tens of thousands of releases and countless artists controlling their music, all trying to shout louder than the next from the rooftop.
Nonetheless, this could be an important release for PARTY from a Warner Bros. perspective, as reports being cited from a source with the label have said that they're looking for a bigger radio performance on this EP. Stream the project below.
