Talos goes abstract with "Voices" video

Talos is an immersive experience. If you're familiar with his work, you'll know that all his past music videos have been filmed by the team behind Feel Good Lost, an Irish production, label and management company also responsible for Hozier's "Take Me To Church" video. Sweeping landscape and colour saturated images feature heavily in the Talos brand, and although his latest video for "Voices" is in keeping with this tradition, it is the most abstract thing the company has released in conjunction with Talos' music to date.

Compulsively watchable, "Voices" features a silhouetted Eoin French (the fragile falsetto behind Talos) layered with doodles and Feel Good Lost's signature saturated landscapes. Feel Good Lost collaborated with animator Kevin McGloughlin, who led the animations. Speaking of the video, the team says:

The visuals for Talos have become more and more abstract as they have progressed. Eoin himself is an architect, so is naturally conditioned to be structured and a perfectionist.  But throughout the album we have tried to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and became obsessed with the idea of breaking apart things that are structured and letting them descend into mayhem. This video in a way is the perfect end to that journey into creative madness. It was an incredible collaboration and one that we are incredibly proud of.

Indeed, the refrain "I hear your voices coming close to me" is the perfect backdrop for his "creative madness"; you can see the trajectory of Talos' audio-visual odyssey to accompany a truly beautiful debut album.
