Dance music's superstar Kaskade is continuing to lean in to his deeper, laidback side in his music, releasing Redux EP 002 over the Labor Day weekend. After releasing a series of pop-electronic crossover remixes earlier this year – including of Tinashe's "Flame" and Imagine Dragons's "Believer" – the Chicago DJ and producer has now released a full EP and a separate single of his own originals at the culmination of 2017's festival season.
The Redux EP itself has a range of sounds, beginning with the just as poppy "Nobody Like You," and venturing into underground territory with tracks like "Show Of Hands," a collaboration with Lökii and Mr. Tape. He's also partnered with his signed Late Night Alumni on one of the EP's more mainstream sounding songs, "Gone."
While Redux EP 002 might not deliver exactly what its title promises in underground gems, it's still great to see the return of the artist Kaskade. The EP, along with "That Dance" with Lökii are out via Arkade.
