Rié channels passion and commitment on new single "Levels"

Japanese born, UK based singer Rié – pronounced “ree-ay” gifts us with the latest visuals for her single "Levels". The song which deals with self determination which the listener can relate to from different viewpoints is an emotional piece driven by a lush piano arrangement courtesy of producer Cassell The Beatmaker  (whose previous collaborations include The Streets, Plan B, Akala).

Visually Rié decides to bring the message to the forefront, teaming up with athlete Sarah Piercy (winner of the London Marathon women’s wheelchair competition) who plays the center role in the video. We get to see Sarah's daily regiment and despite what some would see as a disability, we instead see her admirable strength and to top it all her victories despite the odds. Lyrically "Levels"  identifies the level of commitment, time and effort, as well as patience, that it takes to pursue a passion in life. This notion is reflected in Rié’s own relocation to the UK, done with the ambition to develop her career in music outside of Japan.

‘Levels’ also is a brief departure from Rié’s debut EP, this time with Rié touching upon UK rap – a spontaneous venture taken up with the talented studio assistant/artist, Deacon during recording sessions.

The ‘Levels’ EP, due out on November 3, 2017. Rié is also set to perform live around the release of the EP with UK dates to come shortly.
