After announcing the coming of her soon to be magnum opus LP 'Take Flight', Maya Jane Coles serves us an official offering from said project. The newly released single "Trails" adds more fuel to the fire coming from MJC.

The laid back soundscape is driven by a somewhat gloomy atmospheric synth with an overlay of soft leads and a groovy rhythm to match. It may look simple on paper but the results are pretty enchanting and relaxing at the same time.

2017 will see Maya Jane Coles release her second album, Take Flight, on her own label I/AM/ME via Skint Records/BMG. Take Flight is her most substantial body of work to date and is the long awaited follow up to her debut album “Comfort” (2013) and her “Nocturnal Sunshine" project (2015).

Maya is an enigma in today’s music world. On this album – as with all her releases – she has written, produced, engineered, arranged, mixed and performed every track, even designing the artwork herself.

To date Maya has played in over 40 countries worldwide, released mix compilations for DJ Kicks and Fabric Live, been sampled on Nicki Minaj’ smega hit “Truffle Butter” as well as remixing artists from The XX, Bonobo and Little Dragon through to Florence & The Machine, Sam Smith and Ella Fitzgerald.

Take Flight will be released on Double CD / Heavy Weight 3 x Vinyl Box Set / Digital plus a limited Deluxe Hardback Book CD format will also be exclusively available via Maya’s artist store.Fans can preorder / pre save the album here and receive the tracks ‘Won’t Let You Down’ and Cherry Bomb instantly when buying via Maya’s store or iTunes.
