Around five months ago, Alayna debuted the fluid and floating R&B track "Falling Autumn" and gained considerable traction on Soundcloud. The track featured a velvety voice and chillwave R&B influences indicative of its well-known British producer Astronomyy. This Brooklyn-based songstress recently dropped an ethereal-soul follow up titled "High Off You" out via 20XX. Although the melody sways slowly, "High Off You" entrances the ears with Alayna's bewitching croons and voluminous electronic hooks. As she attempts "to find a way to express the things I feel," her musing lands somewhere along the spectrum of the inexpressible and the metaphorically articulate. "High Off You" shines a spotlight on the poet in Alayna as well as her 'soul-singer in a past life' confidence and mature sound.
