Gryffin releases a new cut from his upcoming EP, the melodic ballad "Love In Ruins" featuring London songstress Sinéad Harnett.
The new tune feels like a dark follow up to Gryffin's last release, the uplifting "Feel Good" featuring electronic duo Illenium and pop singer Daya. "Love In Ruins" has a more melodic tone, with ambient synths and strumming guitar. Harnett's pained voice tells a story of love lost over gentle production on the new track, which currently sits at #1 on HypeMachine. The LA producer caught wind of Harnett's talent after she appeared on the first track "Boiling" from Disclosure's The Face EP back in 2012. Gryffin shares on Instagram that the collaboration "has been two years in the making" and that it draws on "classic Gryffin vibes."
Gryffin is set to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend on Thursday of the festival. The artist is also gearing up for his largest headlining show to date, to take place at Terminal 5 in New York City on October 21. Electronic trio Autograf and more special guests will support on the special evening.
