Toronto’s ShaqIsDope shows off his dexterity on his new CMPLX produced single “Level Up.” You might know CMPLX’s production from his work with Roy Woods and Drake. He brings the chilling creep of strings to drive the beat and outline Shaq’s syncopated delivery. Shaq flexes his skills from top to bottom on this track, changing up his pace and flow from verse to verse. The control of his delivery makes this track special, sounding as if Shaq is waving a blade back and forth in your face. You never know when he's going to cut. Hint: it's on the hook. Though this is a braggadocios track through and through, Shaq's most impressive boasts come in the way of his determination, not his paper stacks.
