In anticipation of the All Day I Dream Summer of Love World Tour that's underway in 22 locations across 10 countries, EARMILK is proud to present an exclusive playlist from one of the labels stalwarts, YokoO. We're excited to catch him alongside Lee Burridge and Gorje Hewek & Izhevski here in Toronto next Saturday and lucky for us he has gifted us with his 5 favourite ADID records. Listen below and read on to see if All Day I Dream will be making it to your city this summer.

5 of my favourite ADID records – YokoO

ADID001: Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge – Gemini Spell

I clearly remember looking into Audiofly’s latest releases and finding this intriguing new label called All Day I Dream. It was back in 2011. In my opinion, both tracks on this first release are timeless and absolutely incredible.  When I heard “Barcelona Sunrise” (Audiofly’s track), I was impelled to listen to “Gemini Spell”. That’s when I melted. Both turned me into an avid follower from the get go.

ADID003: Faut Pas Deconner – Afterhour Olympics

I’ll never forget Matthew’s excitement about this particular track. I personally would see it better fit on Lee’s Get Weird label. I sometimes wonder if it wasn’t this track that set the tone for Get Weird to be created. Everything about the piece inspires me, the beats as well as the subtlety & intricacy of the melodies, the actual track name as well as the mystery of the artist behind it. Please note “Faut Pas Deconner” has never released anything else under this alias.

ADID006: Gorje Hewek & Izhevski – Heimat

This Russian duo was a magnificent discovery. The full EP is pure bliss and possibly still my favourite release of theirs. “Heimat” is my pick here even though I find it torturing to choose.

ADIDSUM001: Marc Scholl – Liquid

This first compilation symbolises a milestone in the history of the label. It showcases some of its core artists as well as friends in one magical record. The release also represents my first appearance on the imprint with “Vali”, the piece that got me noticed by Matthew and Lee several years ago. I personally have an ever-lasting love relationship with Marc Sholl’s “Liquid” which is a truly special story to my ears.

ADID011: YokoO & Retza – Magnetic Souls

Magnetic Souls is my first full EP on the label, as well as the result of a fruitful collaboration with Melbourne based friend and super talent Retza. The piece itself expresses a lot of the emotions I went through over the past 3 years. Needless to say I poured my heart and soul into it.
