Coming in hot before July 4th weekend is the one-and-only UZ, who is here to drop some fireworks of his own with the trap and future bass hybrid "Paradise (feat. Plezier)" on his Quality Goods Records imprint.
Produced in collaboration with Axel Boy, the inventive "Paradise" is taken from UZ's highly anticipated forthcoming album Layers, which you can order here. After a couple bars of euphoric future bass, the track swiftly transitions to a furious build, culminating in a monstrous trap drop synonymous with the wonky UZ sound we've all come to know and love. However, contrary to what you may think, UZ revealed in an exclusive quote to EARMILK that the drop was actually produced by Axel Boy:
"I started this melodic track idea a while ago but I felt kind of stuck at some point, So I sent it to Axel and he absolutely nailed it with the crazy trap drop and adding sounds here and there. I’m really happy with the results and I think it really sounds unique."
Believe it or not, the release of Layers will signify five years of the UZ project. Those of you around for the ride can attest just how wonderful those years were, as the enigmatic producer evolved from unheralded Soundcloud beatmaker to international tastemaker. Each and every track of his patented ŤɌ∆Ҏ ᶊῌῗ† series was just downright nasty.
