In preparation for his debut album Ghosts, the 27-year-old Cali native Ash Riser has dropped a beautifully produced track in "Moon Cry" featuring Mike G and Papo. Ash's flawless vocal performance mixed with impressive guest verses makes for a wonderful tease for what is to come. The record serves as the second single for his long-awaited project that will hit music platforms on July 7, 2017. It has been a little over a year since his last effort, R.I.S.E, was released on June 22, 2016 so one can only imagine how the year away has benefited the singer's creativity. Ash has released a total of seven projects up to this point and is definitely no slouch when it comes to grinding.
In case this is your first time hearing Ash's name but his voice sounds eerily familiar, it might be because you've heard him along side top tier west coast lyricists. Some of his most notable efforts include landing credits on both Kendrick Lamar's Section.80 and Ab-Soul's Control System. And it wasn't just a song or two, if you go back and listen to these (classic) albums, you can clearly hear Ash's distinct vocal performances in various components of the LP's. Not bad for someone who is just about to release his debut album, wouldn't you say?
Be sure to support his hustle and artistry when Ghosts drops on July 7.
