Los Angeles native Tate Tucker's new video for "Capital" will put you back in that money-over-everything mindset this summer. Directed by Damien Blue, the video's shots of LA at dusk are perfectly carefree and mirror Tucker's uplifting bars about keeping his focus on that guap.
"Capital" follows Tucker's smash hit "Just Wanna," which currently sits at over 3.6 million Spotify streams to date and was just placed on FOX's Empire. Tucker has the rap game wrapped around his finger on "Just Wanna;" the new track reminds listeners he's still got that golden balance between playful and baller. The visual for "Capital" is a colorful escape, where Tucker gets into character and only has eyes for the finer things. Tucker tells Mass Appeal about the video,
“I met the director Damien through his cousin and he was in town for a few days. I wanted a video that played on the idea of prioritizing money over everything and a narrative that let me to get into character a bit. I grew up on TV sets so I always enjoy that process. The videos are only getting better from here. I just hope people can relate and escape for a bit. That’s what my favorite videos do for me.”
