The newest member of the Heroic family is a British singer-producer known as Ashdown. Iced out electronic soul coming to you by way of London – Ashdown’s vibe is a welcome addition to Heroic.’s portfolio of tastemaking melodic and harder-hitting offerings. Coasting off the success of vocal features from the likes of WRLD (”Everything” – Monstercat) and Owsey (“Know Myself” – Heroic), a collaboration with labelmate Dooqu (“Dust”), and several original releases on Heroic, Ashdown’s voice is becoming recognizable in the scene, and his hustle is undeniable.
His latest track “Looking Back” shows swagger and confidence in the rising star, whose narrative song writing style strikes a fresh and relatable chord. "I think this track maybe has a bit more attitude to it then my other music,” explains Ashdown. “This song in general terms is about how not knowing something or forgetting about something can be a good thing.” Ashdown's buttery vocals are served best with a heavy helping of sultry R&B influence, deep and mellow bass as this track boasts.
