Gramatik and Ramzoid unravel dense remix of Flume’s “Wall Fuck”

Flume's Skin was undoubtedly one of the biggest electronic albums released in 2016 and was an extreme highlight of Flume's blossoming career, as he brought more obscure sounds to the mainstream. The work still bleeds into this year as Flume has thrown out a second companion EP and a handful of artists continue to remix the tracks.

Coming together to unveil a jarringly beautiful rendition of Flume's experimental "Wall Fuck" is jazzy beat-maker Gramatik and upcoming producer Ramzoid. "Wall Fuck" is one of the more peculiar, less poppy tracks off Skin, taking listeners on a dynamic experience through glitchy bass and a mosaic of bright sounds. What Gramatik and Ramzoid add to the track is a special heaviness, with a jazzy dusting and refreshed vibe. The two producers still manage to maintain that synthetic characteristic that "Wall Fuck" holds and add a punch of soul in the track with pillowing side chain of synths. Their remix of "Wall Fuck" is absolutely wonky but embraces a surreal atmosphere in all it's sound design glory.
