Riding high on a wave of his own making, Ronnie Spiteri delivers yet more chunking tech house and as ever it's released on his own determined, young imprint, Kenja Records. Acid Lights is Ronnie's 20th release on his burgeoning tech house stable, and one of his best to date. He recruits Do Not Sleep's top dog, Darius Syrossian, who's featured and remixed on two previous occasions, this time with a simple, no-frills pumping edit.

Leading with a jacking beat construct surrounding a jagged, three-note bass pattern, "Acid Lights" gradually allows the acid textures to form strength, showering the mix intensely before powering back down into the puckered groove.
The Southampton, UK based Kenja Records are nearing the quarter century mark, this being their 23rd release in only 24 months, with all but three — Rhymos, Mirko Paoloni & Federico Chiotto, and Ki Crieghton & Makana — releases coming from Ronnie. A scary stat that can't be said for many artists/label owners out there.
With a consistent string of releases from label and owner/artist Ronnie, it's a going to be one hell of a year for Kenja Records and long may it continue.
