It's not long now until Soul Clap's Fabric compilation album drops. Ahead of next month's release, we've grabbed the first listen on an edit they've penned of Midnight Magic's "I Gotta A Feeling".
Exclusively for the mix series, Boston duo Soul Clap takes on lead vocalist Tiffany Roth's elegant contribution and the live drums. They add a pulsating dub spin on the disco-dipped track and you can imagine it reverberating the famed walls of Fabric. New York-based Midnight Magic released the original via Soul Clap's record label at the end of last year.
Fabric 93 lands on April 21st and promises to play as a snapshot of them behind the decks, while also a mix that's perfect for home listening. Following in the footsteps of Call Super, Nina Kraviz and Scuba who have recently contributed to the Fabric series, Soul Clap deliver an eclectic mix. Lifting the lid on their vision for the dancefloor, the 34 tracks span hip-hop, funk, disco and of course house.
Soul Clap's dub remix of 'I Gotta Feeling' arrives in-between two more original productions from the pair that make up Fabric 93. "Weekend At Barnies' is with Crew Love labelmates No Regular Play and John Camp, while half of the duo appears as Lonely C with Tom Trago on "The Compass Joint".
