If there's anything we learned during the 2017 Miami Music Week, it's that the underground is alive, well, and in demand. Reaffirming that assertion merely hours after the biggest week in the electronic music year is New York City's underground OG Joeski. On his latest EP, he's delved into (but of course) techno and tech house for memorable tracks on just as memorable a label, the fixed Suara. Blackbird includes the title track which sees an original and dub mix – standard in this sound – both raw and infectious from being so. On that same track, respected house contemporary Gorgon City has joined on remix duties, giving "Blackbird" an entrancing, just short of acidic new look. "Analog Filters" is just that, seeing Joeski explore old school analog techniques.
