Hip hop OG Chino XL has been blessing us with technically sound, lyrical gems since the 90s, and he just dropped a fuego “Under The Bridge” remix that will satisfy Chino’s fans and Red Hot Chili Peppers heads alike. His latest record is the debut single for indie record label 1520 Entertainment, founded by music veteran Jared Lee Gosselin, who produces the track as well.

Chino XL, per usual, supplies some serious bars on this one; both verses are equally potent and rife with imagery and tales of heroin addiction. Gosselin speeds up the original source material a bit and adds some raging guitar riffs as the song heats up. Chino’s sidekick, talented vocalist Rama Duke, provides a reworked version of the Chili Peppers’ classic refrain that even RHCP purists will enjoy.
The new single is also accompanied by some fresh Ra Dreyfus-directed visuals that bring the track’s message to life.
It’s exciting that Chino continues to pump out provocative bangers and we can’t wait to see what else he has in the tank. We certainly wouldn’t mind another rock/rap mashup, though.
