Tillae are a couple of European bedroom beat-making badasses. The duo debuts the first taste of their upcoming project called Late Night Grocery Shopping with a sensationally soothing song titled "Lay Down (II).

They classify their genre as sentimental pop but the nostalgic sounds remind me of a collaboration between a woman from the 70's singing an old school hook that happened to link up with a progressive Alternative R&B producer and covered in ambient sprinkles. The track sounds oddly familiar, although I've never heard it before, perhaps the hypnotic voice induced a euphoric state with the flood of nostalgic feelings. The track begins with a static synth and a distant voice that appears to be miles away. The voice becomes more dominant as the instruments almost completely drop off with the exception of minimal piano chords. The harmonies begin to replace the instruments almost completely until the bridge when the track becomes a full bodied angelic anthem fading slowly into the outro.
Lay down your head on someone's knees and put your mind at ease by letting this track soak in while it carries you through a dream.
