Nala + Nusi get refreshingly tongue-in-cheek with "Sometimes" featuring PENNYWILD [Premiere]

Nala + Nusi is the collaborative project of L.A.-based producers, Nusi and Nala. Drawing from a few live instruments and various synth plays, their latest track "Sometimes" featuring PENNYWILD is a playful house track with some truly honest vocal accompaniment. It's a little bit more on the minimal side but very reminiscent of those classic jokester Dirtybird tracks. According to the artist, it works as an ode to Miami's signature italo-disco era by using Scarface-style pads, and pairing it with hyper-sexualized, touch-in-cheek lyrics and a classic four to the floor house beat. The track is obviously very light-hearted but pairs smoothly with the accompanying EDM structure but slightly house beat vibe.

"This is what happens when a joke gets taken way too far. But I guess if we can talk about pussy and bitches in music, we can also talk about dope dick." Nala

Nala is already being coined as one of Miami's top female DJs and certainly an act making some serious strides on the circuit to keep an eye out for. Nusi's success through his role in indie-electronic band, Hundred Waters, brings a seasoned ear for crafting new sounds and it makes us excited to see what else might come out of future collaborative works from these two.
