Miami-based emcee Lex One is a lot like the Man v. Food TV show — the dude is going to destroy anything you put in front of him. Today, the multifaceted rhyme slinger, who's been known to rip beats ranging from soulful to electronic, is premiering "Let's Get Lost," an upbeat ditty combining fast-paced flows with a honeysuckle hook from talented vocalist Hellz Poet.
"Let's Get Lost" is Grade-A slappy juice from the jippy jump; as soon as Hellz Poet's infectious hook graces your tympanic membrane, it's immediately apparent that this is no ordinary banger. Following the hypnotic intro, Lex One makes his grand entrance with a snappy cadence that's difficult not to bop to. Lex makes it clear that he's intent on getting his grown-man on, a different tune from Hellz Poet's tender-hearted address. The two artists complement each other both musically and philosophically: Lex's debaucherous raps are a fitting reciprocal to his counterpart's singsongy desire for monogamy.
