On the heels of a sold out show at New York's Bowery Ballroom, Sinkane has debuted the latest iteration of his latest track "Telephone." From NYC himself, Sinkane is helmed by multi-instrumentalist and producer Ahmed Gallab, backed by the band comprised of Ish Montgomery on bass, Jason Trammell on drums, Jonny Lam on guitar, Amanda Khiri on vocals and Elenna Canlas on keys. Together, the group makes quite a statement, with funky, soulful music that hits all sorts of nostalgia. "Telephone" comes from Sinkane's recently released album, Life & Livin It.
On remixing duties for "Telephone" is Roosevelt, a DJ and producer who himself released his eponymous first album in 2016. Once he got a hold of "Telephone," he put an infectious disco veil over it, and man does it stick. Perfect for this release post-holiday weekend, it's groovy, catchy and blends well with Sinkane's original.
