Produced by Berlin duo BLYNE, "Issues" mixes electronic RnB with trap elements for a sexy number that will have you wondering what's behind the lyrics. While the overall soundscape is loaded with downtempo feel good vibes, the overall message is a bit heavier. Ayelle shares with us, "Abusive personalities can make you feel as if you can’t live without them, their love or their approval. Ultimately, they wish to control you, and will use whatever means available to them to do so. Even after you think you’ve gotten away from them, the abuse continues, and ‘issues’ is about the aftermath that follows.”
While the single is a bitter sweet love song there's something about Ayelle's vocals and the smooth production that make you forget, or maybe not forget for some, that the track is an easy listen.
