One of the best hallmarks of newer and growing records is their propensity to search out and support younger producers coming into their own style artistically, and Germany’s own This Ain’t Bristol captures this mentality perfectly. We at EARMILK have been a fan of the Brighton based Josh Brown, one of their up and coming artists, for a long time. Even at his young age of 22, Josh Brown is already making waves with his unique musical style blending house, tech, and bass elements pushing boundaries, carving out his own space within the dance music scene. Never one to slow down, next week Josh Brown returns to This Ain’t Bristol with a three-track EP, out February 10th.

Josh Brown sets the tone for the lead track, “Gargle,” with a driving beat and bouncy percussion. Soon enough, though, the first rising synth line injects a layer of tension into the track, foreshadowing the coming forceful bass line that dominates the rest of the track. With “Gargle,” Josh Brown widens his foray into bass house to include more traditional, harsher bass influences while retaining the house underpinnings that are usually lost in most bass house tracks.

This is definitely one track and EP you won’t want to miss. Pick up your copy when it drops on February 10th.
