Stro exudes a cool confidence on "Freestyle 367"

Freestyling over a J Dilla beat will always garner attention. Freestyling well over a Dilla beat, however, is how you create a fan.

After listening to Stro's latest freestyle, "Freestyle 367", you'd be hard pressed to disagree. As you have probably put together by now, Stro delivers a quick freestyle over Dilla’s “367”. The silky instrumental pairs perfectly with Stro’s voice as he navigates it in perfect fashion.

If you aren’t familiar with “367”, don’t fret, it’s a relatively “new” track. "367" dropped this past Christmas off of an unreleased album, Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection. The collection features 15 previously unearthed Dilla beats that are exactly what any Dilla fan would expect from the late producer.

Dilla aside, the freestyle is impressive in its own right. Stro has quite the knack for punchlines and litters them over the two and a half minute track. “Freestyle 367” is the most recent record in Stro’s #TheFlood series; the previous four are worth a spin as well.

No word on any new projects in the mix for Stro, but peep his Computer Era album on iTunes and Best By Far album on Soundcloud if you haven’t yet.
