R&B duo THEY. made waves in late 2015 when they were featured on "Working For It" with Skrillex and ZHU. Then, just last year, they garnered a more steady following when they toured with Bryson Tiller, opening for him on his TRAPSOUL tour. After months of single releases and much hype, the duo of singer Drew Love and producer Dante Jones totally flipped the script from their previously silky, R&B-heavy sound on their new single "U-RITE."
The song is a remarkable departure from their other work, boasting a strong but cleverly distorted air horn and equally distorted bass hits. Drew shows that he can hang with the singer-rappers that dot today's rap, R&B, and adjacent landscape while Dante provides us with nothing short of a banger. "U-RITE' is the first taste of the duo in 2017 and is the first single for their upcoming debut album titled HYENA.
