Such a buffet of incredible music was made available to lucky fans in 2016. This year was certainly a shining representation of the broken down walls that once separated different genres from one another. Influence from across the musical spectrum infiltrated each other in one way or another. We saw hip-hop bringing it back to some funky, soul filled jazz with live instrument elements, indie/alt rock returning to its folk roots, various electronic music being led by singer-songwriters and the once dark underground beats saved for basements making it's way into the mainstream. Although credit deserving, you may not find artists like Radiohead, Beyonce or Kanye West on here but we can promise you the rising new artists in this list have created some of the most creative, noteworthy new tracks that have us all excited for the future of music in 2017.
