U.K. quartet Wild Front are notable for their distinctive sound, which is more a conglomeration of styles than any one in particular. With varied musical backgrounds, from classical training to folk and hip hop, each member of Wild Front brings something unique to the table.
Their newest single, “Tumble Party,” is no exception. The track has beachy, west coast vibe with a groovy bassline that drives the song forward. The interplay between guitar and vocals creates a surprisingly new and refreshing sound, and develops the simple guitar motif in an ingenious way. The track also features a massive, 80s-esque guitar solo more akin to the likes of Journey or Bon Jovi than indie rock, but it works satifyingly well.
Definitely watch out for these guys. Their unique sound is rooted in diversity, but comes together to create something individual to them. I’m excited to see what’s next for Wild Front.
