With Billy Kenny taking the reins for this year’s Selections compilation for Hanover’s darling imprint, This Ain’t Bristol, we will certainly be starting off our December the right, and weird, way. Featuring Billy Kenny himself, the eleven-track compilation, out tomorrow Friday December 2nd, also features label regulars like Maximono and Josh Brown, among others.

Much to our enjoyment, Billy Kenny takes his track on the compilation, “Like 2 Get Weird,” in a techier direction than normal, setting the tone with driving, pounding beat and crisp percussion. On his own distorted vocals, the focal point of the track, Billy Kenny says, "I'd gotten the idea for the vocals in this track when the offer to play at DIRTYBIRD Campout again came through. I'd been given a slot at their after hours “Late Night Lodge” from 3:15 – 4:30am and anyone that’s been to campout knows that this after-hours stage is the one where the music gets weird.“ With its distorted synths and builds, this track certainly gets weird, in the way we all wish they would.
