Two Dutch powerhouses have teamed up on a new single that seamlessly ties all sorts of house sounds together. With an expansive background solo, veteran big room producer Sander Van Doorn and prodigy and trending name HI-LO (known also as Oliver Heldens) have partnered on “WTF,” out on HI-LO’s own Heldeep Records. The track features transcending tribal beats in big room form, with a darker underground edge that creates some depth. “WTF” is named for its inclusion of the ever pervasive vocal sample that every fan of dance music will recognize, from Roland Clark’s “I Get Deep.” Even if you don’t know that original, you’ll recognize the sample in other tracks like Fatboy Slim’s “Star 69,” and of course, this one.
