Danny Howard has been on his grind in 2016. The producer, DJ, MC and Nothing Else Matters labelhead has been curating his circle around him, building his own and his label's brand to the fullest extent we've seen anyone do in 2016. The Londoner is seeking out talent and looking to showcase it in all its best forms, and has done so in big quantities where quality doesn't suffer. His latest on this quest is a new EP featuring curated tracks from those sought out artists, entitled Fire Beats. It's the third iteration of this series, where the first came out in August 2016. This time, Fire Beats features four tracks, including one of the artists we're keeping our eye on, Tuff London, and the one we have a first listen to here today.
As fellow Londoners, MANT has created their electronic sound out of a multitude of influences in the world's underground house music hub. Building an arsenal of tech house, house and techno originals over the past two years, including their latest release, "Basil Plant." Here, we have a first-listen to their contribution to Fire Beats, ahead of its release tomorrow, entitled "Bodywerk." The track has a classically UK tech bassline, that serves as the groovy foundation for the perked up nostalgic high pitched sample.
